Jambi consist of 2 cities (Jambi and sungai penuh), and 8 districts. Each and every region has it’s own identity, for example, in Kerinci there’s mount Kerinci and lake Kerinci. Not just mount Kerinci, and it’s wonderus lake that has been a record as the largest lake in south-east asia, but Jambi is also popular with it’s infamous historical buildings. One of those buildings is Muaro Jambi Temple wich is located in Muaro Jambi. This temple is one of the oldest temple in Indonesia wich still remains from a one great Kingdom, Sriwijaya. There are canals that surrounds the temples and Malayan rivers that links straight to Batanghari.

There are many more tourist attractions in Jambi such as the TNKS (Taman Nasional Kerinci Sebelat) and Bukit Tapaan conservation. Jambians also have original tribes that has romed the lands for decades, we call them Kubu’s. The government has also made a policy to reserve the Kubu tribe from extincition by building them houses, give education, even providing them with tools to help them produce food.

If you want to know what heritage contained in the prov Jambi you also can visit the Perjuangan Rakyat museum wich is located in the heart of the city. Selampit Delapan dance is one of the famous traditional dances from Jambi. This dance yells us about close relationships between Jambians wich does not consider only to a specific race of group of people, but also to everyone.
The dances tells us, that how different we are, we are still one.

Jambi also has a very unique variety of culture, such as the Batik, traditional houses, and Jambi’s zoo wich can be promoted to public. Each year, Jambians also celebrate a traditional sport, that is boat racing. People complete to cross Batanghari using Dragon-like Boats.
